Isle Of Aellum

With a narrative-driven gameplay style, the game challenges you with intricate puzzles that require you to communicate with NPCs to learn how to navigate the maze. Your memory, cognitive abilities, and navigational skills will all be put to the test as you progress through the game, with the fate of the village hanging in the balance. Are you up to the challenge?

Developed by a team of three using the Unity engine, our game featured an innovative night and day mechanic that transformed the game landscape while limiting the player's visibility during the nighttime cycle. To progress through the level, players must explore the maze during the daytime phase and then navigate it in the nighttime phase, relying on memory and keen observation skills to advance. As the lead designer, programmer, level designer, and producer, I oversaw and executed various aspects of the game's development.

Die Vs Dead

Our game is a thrilling 2D top-down shooter that places players in the midst of an action-packed zombie apocalypse. The objective is to eliminate hordes of zombies by throwing dice, which rewards the player with points. However, there's a twist - throwing the dice also triggers special power-ups and events that can impact gameplay in unexpected ways.

The game was created for the GMTK 48 hour game jam with the theme “Role of the Dice”. We got an overall rank of 122, with an enjoyment ranking of 55. There were over 6,000 entries, so we are very proud of our accomplishment.

When we approached the game jam theme of "Role of the Dice," we delved deep into the various aspects that make up the experience of rolling a dice. We pondered over the methods and outcomes of dice-rolling and drew inspiration from them to create a unique gameplay mechanic. As a result, we allowed players to throw the dice in multiple ways, with each style being necessary to eliminate the zombies. Additionally, if the player throws the same roll as another die already in play, the effects are doubled or even tripled. This design incentivizes players to remain focused on the dice already in play and carefully consider their next move.

Last Day of Summer

Immerse yourself in a captivating 3D exploration game that takes place on a small island, perfect for fans of Myst & Riven. With challenging physics-based puzzles, players must rely on their observation skills and creativity to navigate the island.I developed this project entirely on my own, utilizing the Unity Engine and taking charge of programming, 3D modeling, and design. Throughout the process, I honed my skills and became more adept at efficiently utilizing the wide range of Unity extension tools. Witnessing people play the game and solve its intricate puzzles was a truly rewarding experience.

Prison

I developed a short yet challenging 3D puzzle game that tests the player's color theory knowledge and requires them to think creatively. Using Unity Engine, I designed the game with a focus on engaging puzzles and immersive gameplay. This project marked one of my earliest forays into 3D game development, and I was thrilled to take on the programming, 3D modeling, and design aspects. I'm pleased to say that the game exceeded my expectations, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing people solve its puzzles. Through this project, I gained valuable insights into game design and developed my proficiency in using tools like Unity and Maya.
